A brief look at the work of Mexican artist Alejandrina Herrera. Juxtapoz describes Herrera's work by observing that she "likes to include a touch of irony and melancholy by playing with the size of things and spaces" in a number of her works. Her use of color, or lack thereof is also stark, adding to the melancholia Juxtapoz notes. The size disparities evident in many of her works also intimates a political awareness in her work which at first glance may need seem readily apparent.
