May explains how the operatic vocal layers were inspired by the “cascading strings” effect made famous by Annunzio Paolo Mantovani, a technique May first tried out in 1974 with the guitar solo on “Killer Queen.” The video is an excerpt from Inside the Rhapsody, a documentary that was included...

Daniel Castan's New York

Have a look at French artist Daniel Castan's kaleidoscopic acrylic studies of New York. One piece can either jump out at you with vivid splashes of color, while another may sit coolly waiting for you to jump into it. Castan's work reminds one of a modern impressionist in the traditions of a Claude Monet or Édouard Manet - only instead of painting ships in the harbor at Sunrise or A Bar at the Folies-Bergère, Castan depicts New York's Times Square at night or the city streets in the rain. via WHUDAT
