The Poetry of Bruce Lee as read by daughter Shannon
In the final months of his short life, Bruce Lee wrote a personal essay, “In My Own Process” where he said, “Basically, I have always been a martial artist by choice and actor by profession. But, above all, I am hoping to actualize myself to be an artist of life along the way.” Shannon, daughter of Bruce Lee, discusses Bruce poetry and reads a poem of her father’s called “Boating on Lake Washington.” via OC

Making Taxi Driver
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvQV21hkMjI Taxi Driver didn't get it's start as a script only. Some crudely drawn storyboards accompanied the screenplay long before the film was ever green lit for production. Have a look at how a great motion picture began. “Storyboards express what I want to communicate,” Scorsese told Phaidon in 2011 for an article on the exhibition “Between Film and Art: Storyboards from Hitchcock to Spielberg.” “They show how I would imagine a scene and how it should move to the next.” via OC

Weekend Retrospective | May '02 Attack of the Clones Premiere
It's been eleven years since the release of Star Wars ep. II: Attack of the Clones in May of 2002. Back in those days of yore we had not as of yet invaded Iraq, Facebook hadn't been invented and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" on NBC was a staple of after-midnight-TV viewing. One of Conan's great regular segments was when he'd unleash longtime friend and collaborator Robert Smigel and his hand puppet "Triumph the Insult Dog" on groups of unsuspecting humanoids. So before being a nerdy Star Wars geek was cool long lines of fanboys & girls waiting for the...

Bump This | Pathos Y Lagrimos by Mood Rings
Mood Rings' first single, out now on 7-inch., off of their debut album VPI Harmony, out June 25th. Here’s what the band says about it: Literally written in a shack of a house owned by our bass player last summer, this track came together rather quickly, whereas our previous tracks spanned between two and three years of our time. It is a song about isolation and the realization of love’s relevancy or the fading of that certain feeling. “Life is good when life is gone, time dissolves the strongest love.” via: FDR
