What do "Star" Wars" and St. Patrick's Day have in common? The answer: Nothing. As ridiculous as that is, in keeping with the festive traditions of St. Patrick's Day - which soon doth approach and our contemporary culture's complete and entirely justified obsession with "Star Wars" here presented are some fun shot games to play while watching the original and/or the second "Star Wars" trilogies. Every time a bad guy shoots his laser and misses in either trilogy, take a shot. Every time there's a scene involving two or more characters sitting and talking on furniture in the second trilogy, take a shot. Every time a character mentions "shield" or "shields" in either trilogy, take a shot. Every time something tries to eat Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi, take a shot. Every time Anakin Skywalker says something really really dumb in The Phantom Menace, take a shot. Every time R2-D2 saves everybody's ass in either trilogy, take a shot. Every time Luke Skywalker acts like a bitch in the original Star Wars, take a shot. Every time you think of a plot hole in the second trilogy, take a shot. Every time a character says something in the second trilogy which is a throwback to the original trilogy, take a shot. As you can see, the possibilities are limitless. These are just the ones that are most familiar to me. Anyone can make their own rules. But the coolest thing of all though really, is that it doesn't even have to be St. Patrick's Day season to play these games! They are good to play whenever and whenever. All you need is a quality bottle of booze, a shot glass and a media playing station! So, have fun, drink responsibly, and don't drive after - especially if you're taking shots after all of the plot holes you encounter. Hopefully these games bring you as much fun and enjoyment as they have me. May the force be with you. ~W.A.
