KR.ONE - New Worx from the Old Skool “Art is my life, I move through it, and it through me.” - KR.ONE Queens native KR.ONE will be showing new works on canvas, paper, metal and model trains at the latest installment at the new L.I.C.K. Gallery in Long Island City, NY on June 11, 2011. Born in Manhattan and raised in Astoria, KR.ONE truly breathes the old school New York graffiti scene. As one of the old NYC subway train bombers, Louie “KR.ONE” Gasparro has been a part of the graffiti scene since the late 70’s. His work was seen on many of the BMT, IND and IRT divisions of the NYC Subways from 1977 thru 1983. Since then he has not stopped or slowed down his love and passion for creating art. KR.ONE has taken part in several successful solo and group showings. In addition, he has been featured in books, magazines, video games and websites around the world, including but not limited to: Mass Appeal, Tag Town, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and most recently, "The History of American Graffiti," published in April 2011. The Opening reception will be on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 7-11pm at 45-03 Broadway, Long Island City, NY. The Art will be on display until the end of August.
